Knusprige Chicken Mozzarella Wraps in the Air Fryer

  • 14 oz boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 7 oz shredded mozzarella
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp neutral oil

Method
 

  1. Slice the chicken breast into thin strips and put them in a bowl.
  2. Add paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper; toss to coat and rest 5 minutes.
  3. Lay out tortillas; sprinkle mozzarella in a narrow strip down the center, leaving a 1 inch border.
  4. Divide seasoned chicken evenly over the cheese.
  5. Fold in the sides, then roll up tightly from bottom to top; place seam side down.
  6. Lightly brush the outside of each wrap with oil.
  7. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  8. Air fry wraps in a single layer seam side down for 12 minutes, turning once at 6 minutes, until golden and crisp and chicken is cooked through.
  9. Rest 2 minutes, slice, and serve hot with dip sauce of choice.

Notes

- Do not overfill; a thinner, even layer crisps better and heats through.
- For make ahead, prep chicken and shred cheese separately; assemble right before air frying to keep the tortilla crisp.
